Over the course of many years, my readers, my colleagues, even myself, have said things in private that we've been reluctant to say out loud or in print. Here are some of our "unmentionables." They represent both so-called "right-wing" and "left-wing" points of view.

Enough! Why doesn't Israel drop depth-level bombs from the air to destroy Hamas's tunnels still left in Gaza? Just do it if at all possible--and be done with it.

Why in God's name doesn't Israel have a death penalty? Israel is located in the Middle East, not in Europe. Not in Africa. Not in Central Asia. Not even in the Far East.

Why do so many loud and visible Israelis want to live "in peace" with the enemies who hate and want to kill them? Why do so many Westerners, Christians, Jews, Muslims fund such delusions?

Why does the Israeli government house, feed, and pay for the best medical and dental care for "Palestinian" prisoners with blood on their hands (who Hamas now insists must be referred to as "hostages")? If only Israel had refused brain surgery to Yahya Sinwar, refused dental care as well--and above all, actually not ever released him. True, they did so out of mercy, in order to free one poor Israeli captive. Looking back, was it the right decision? Jewish ethics view each Jewish soul in the highest esteem and the redemption of captives as a holy obligation. What's your answer?

Why doesn't Israel finally and completely loosen the grip of the rabbanut? Allow marriage, divorce, and matters of life and death to be handled in a secular or non-Orthodox manner for those Israelis who want it--without prohibiting those Israelis who want an Orthodox and traditional bris, marriage, divorce, and burial?

Why is there even one agunah still living in Israel, the Jewish state?

Why can't Jewish women pray in the women's section of the Kotel with a Torah in an all-female group?

Why hasn't the Israeli government long, long ago understood the importance of the cognitive war? Where is their Iron Dome against all the propaganda, and now against the AI-generated bots? (This one is my question.)

Why are the European powers, once again, rooting for the Nazis?

Why do so many prize-winning Western intellectuals and celebrities also root for the Nazis, even as they present themselves as virtuous for doing so?

Why-oh-why are so many left-wingers, both in America and in Europe and in Israel, so very bitter and hard-hearted against only Israel? Why are they so bitter about Bibi but not about Hamas, Qatar, or Iran?

Why do American-Jewish organization machers demand that, even now, Israelis show great compassion for the plight of the Gazans? But do not say a word about the plight of Israelis?

Why do so many left-wingers despise, even hate, Jews who are religious or Jews who are pro-Israel?

Why aren't there thousands of lawsuits holding the global media accountable for telling the kind of lethal lies that inevitably lead to genocides?

Why are so many Jews still clinging to their increasingly endangered lives in the West?

Is it really safer for Jews in Israel now?
