Letter To My Readers
Sep 28, 2015
Dear Faithful Reader and Supporter:
Greetings!
I have exciting news!
As you know, on 9/15, I published my fourth study about honor killing at Middle East Quarterly. Since then, I have done a QNA about my findings at Breitbart and another QNA with the Investigative Project on Terrorism which will soon be posted. Perhaps one of the most important responses to this study was that of a Canadian social worker, born in the Punjab, who plans to distribute copies of it and to teach it to her class of 300 law enforcement officers. I already have a fifth study in mind.
I have just been interviewed by the Journal of Women and Therapy for their issue on pioneer psychologists. They describe my work in a comprehensive and highly laudatory way. I have also been interviewed by a very bright young feminist for the website, Ravishly. These interviews/portraits will be posted sometime soon. I also have a piece coming out in the November issue of Commentary.
The exciting news is this: I am working on a new book. I cannot share the subject with anyone yet. This work means that I may be publishing my short, timely, pieces a bit less often. Whatever I do post, I will send your way.
More exciting news: My writing has helped in the effort to rescue Yazidi and Christian girls and women who are being held as sex slaves by the Islamic State. In turn, this work has led to my involvement in a pioneering project with a mental health center. It is also still hush-hush but you will be hearing all about it from me sometime soon.
I will continue lecturing about anti-Semitism/anti-Zionism and its relationship to the entire Western enterprise and about the issues raised by my prize-winning book, An American Bride in Kabul.
Finally: Thursday, October 1st, is my 75th birthday. My son is giving me a Big Party with speeches, photos, videos, and music. He tells me that he expects about 75 very special guests. I am truly blessed.
Thank you for remaining my reader and loyal supporter.
Blessings,
Dr. Phyllis
