INSTITUTE FOR THE STUDY OF GLOBAL ANTI-SEMITISM AND POLICY (ISGAP)

Jun 08, 2015

This was a combined book party (for Living History: On the Front Lines for Israel and the Jews, 2003-2015) and a lecture. I am a Fellow at this Institute and I believe that this is the only mission that has a chance of changing the minds of the professoriate—if closed minds prove amenable to facts and reason. But training the professors who are committed to start teaching a course about Israel and Anti-Semitism is absolutely the way to go. And ISGAP is sponsoring lectures at five universities in North America, one in South America, and at least two in Europe. I envision campus-wide teach-ins that are mandatory all across the country and twice a year at every American university. Really, nothing less will do.

Many distinguished and friendly people came to hear me. Dr. Charles Small, ISGAP's founder, was more than kind to me. He always, always remembers that I was probably "the first" to expose the issue and pioneer the analysis of The Problem in the 21st century—at least in English and in the United States. We had a spirited and often intense discussion afterwards. The QNA is below. And then—a blessed number of us went out for a very fine late dinner and continued talking until late into the night.
