New English Review

Substack

I do not like having to repeat myself but everyone’s memory is so short and sixty years’ worth of new generations have risen since I first called out antisemitism at the United Nations, and among left and feminist groups in the early 1970s. I continued this campaign all through the 1980s and up until right now.

I wrote alone--but I was not entirely alone. An honorable group of us warned and warned of what would be coming down the pike. In 2002-2003, I may have been the first to have published that anti-Zionism was a large part of what the new antisemitism was about. It led to my being cancelled, censored, admonished, mocked.

My own editor, Alan Rinzler, castigated me for insisting that anti-Zionism was a large part of the new antisemitism.

This was the first book of mine that was not reviewed in the New York Times, which had previously run two front-page book reviews and planted my face on the cover of their magazine. (That’s back in the day when I still respected them--but no longer.)

I continued writing on many subjects, including the Islamification of the West, terrorism, Jihad, honor killing (femicide), gender and religious apartheid in the Muslim world. And yes, also about antisemitism, the opera, films, and the evolving “death of feminism,” which was the title of my 2005 book, which has long been out of print.

When I finally looked up, and began to realize that I needed funding to continue on--guess what? I got absolutely no funding from large Jewish organizations or from Jewish millionaires and billionaires. And yes, I finally asked. A very decent conservative Christian woman funded me in part for a decade as did an individual Jewish philanthropist for a few years. I had to dig deep into my own savings.

As I’ve written, I was not alone.

We all wrote our hearts out: Avi Bell, Andrew Bostom, Catherine Chatterly, Aviva Cantor, Alan Dershowitz, Nonie Darwish, Amy Elman, Steve Emerson, Daniel Greenfield, Daniel Jonah Goldhagen, David Hirsch, Ayaan Hirsi, Charles Jacobs, Eugene Kontorovich, Neil J. Kressel, Richard Landes, Lori Lowenthal Marcus, Rafael Medoff, Yasmine Mohammed, Douglas Murray, Fiamma Nirenstein, Melanie Phillips, Daniel Pipes, Nidra Poller, Lauri B. Regan, Alvin Rosenfeld, Barry Rubin, z’l, Charles Small, Robert Spencer, Reb Arye Spero, z’l, Jonathan Tobin, Ibn Warraq, Robert S. Wistrich, z’l, Bat Ye’or, Elder of Zion—the list is long. If I have not mentioned you here, please forgive me. In time, others joined us, including Benjamin Kerstein, just out with an important new book, Self Defense: A Jewish Manifesto; Eve Barlow; Dara Horn; Seth Franzman; and just now, Rafael Medoff; and a slew of important books and films about 10/7.

Well, we are the People of the Book.

Just as Hamas/Iran/Qatar made very detailed plans for 10/7 which were not taken all that seriously--did all the other Iranian-funded Islamist terrorist groups also make detailed plans to attack Israel simultaneously from the North, the South, and the East?

If so, is there a written record of this plan that was also not taken seriously? At least a recording?

Where is the long-term plan for both Arab Muslim and Western non-Muslim billionaires who, quite clearly, engaged in a fifty- or sixty-year financial investment in propagating antisemitism/antiZionism, funding the Western legacy media, resolutions, boycotts, and anti-Israel demonstrations, twisting our high school and college curricula, backing pro-Islamist politicians, and lawsuits, which used Western secular legal rights to implement Sharia practices.

Asra Nomani writes about this in her important book about the red-green alliance.

Where are these plans, the records, the conversations that led to our current tidal wave of Jew-hatred? Is there a hidden or a very visible master plan blueprint for all this?

I am afraid to tell you what you already know: Now, it’s too late. Absent a miracle, there is no stopping Zohran Mamdani from becoming the next mayor of New York City. Absent another miracle, there is no stopping the United Nations, the NGOs, and the demonstrations of anti-Israel hate all around the world. Absent a miracle--I doubt that Hamas will ever really disarm and disappear.

I wonder what that Jewish-organization Big Shot who once publicly demeaned me as “the Jewish Cassandra” is doing or thinking now.

I wonder what Abe Foxman is thinking, if anything. Oh, do I have stories about him and about the ADL.

What do our future generations think can be done to turn back the anti-Western and anti-Israel tsunami?

Please share your best ideas.

My people have always survived. We will do so again. The price has always been a fearful one. This seems to be the case right now.

Twenty living Israeli hostages for 2,000 Arab terrorists with blood on their hands?

An alleged “cease fire” that is not a peace deal nor is it even a cease fire--and it is certainly not a surrender by the side that lost. That’s Hamas. Israeli military victories are beyond astounding. Israeli resilience is beyond amazing.

And yet....here we are, again, facing a huge amount of hatred and the loss of Western Civilization.

All I can say is: Hazak v’Ematz. Am Yisrael Chai. Carry on. Never stop. Go on the offensive.
