I am very impressed and deeply moved by Aruna Papp's work and especially by her book, "Unworthy Creature: A Punjabi Daughter's Memoir of Honour, Shame, and Love." This book carefully and soberly describes the unbearable, daily, sometimes hourly humiliation and physical abuse that is normalized behavior towards women in a shame-and-honor tribal society. I am privileged and grateful to know Aruna.
