I am blessed and privileged to know people who are doing crucial world-work. I therefore decided some to stop in for a gathering of kindred spirits on New Year’s Eve. Artists, sculptors, writers, psycho-analysts, psychotherapists, scholars, composers, filmmakers and film producers, philanthropists, scientists, activists, business people, lawyers, religious and secular feminists, ex-Muslims and Muslim dissidents came and their presence graced my evening. Some cannot be named. Shown here are: Marc Adamo, Nancy Azara, Pinchas and Ziva Ben-Ari, Ann Birstein, Darla Bjork, Barbara Chasen, Ilene Curtach, Austin and Virginie Dacey, Amrita Douglas, Steven and Libbe Englander, Cornelia and Mark Foster, Fred and Linda Feirstein, Erwin Flaxman and Linda Laughlin, Alex and Marlene Grobman, Rivka Haut, Judy and Leon Jacobson, Katy Kazen, Ken and Jerri Kronen, Jules and Daniele Lassner, Lisa Magnus, Gregory Massell, Barbara Seaman, Fred Seigel and Jan Rosenberg, Rafael, Nechi Sirota, Sol and Ruthie Stern, Tama Starr, Tariq, Robert Weissberg and Erika Gilbert.
